Caramel Pudding Ingredients

Caramel Pudding Recipe
§ Firstly, Preheat your oven to 325°F
(160°C).
§ Then In a small saucepan, combine 1/4
cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Place the saucepan over medium-high
heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar dissolves, stop
stirring and let the mixture boil until it turns a deep amber colour. This will
take about 8-10 minutes.
§ Then remove the saucepan from heat
and immediately pour the caramel into a 9-inch baking dish, tilting the dish to
coat the bottom evenly. Be careful as the caramel will be very hot.
§ Take a separate mixing bowl, whisk
together 3 large eggs, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 2 cups of whole milk and 1
tsp of vanilla extract until well combined.
§ Pour the milk mixture over the
caramel in the baking dish.
§ Place the baking dish in a larger
roasting pan and pour enough hot water into the roasting pan to come halfway up
the sides of the baking dish.
§ Bake the pudding for 50-60 minutes,
or until the custard is set. You can check if the pudding is set by inserting a
knife into the centre of the pudding. If it comes out clean, the pudding is done.
§ Remove the baking dish from the
roasting pan and let it cool to room temperature. Then, chill it in the
refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
